Freelance Search Engine Optimisation Perth

Edit: I have a new and updated Freelance SEO Perth page.

If you’re reading this page, you probably need help with SEO.

Maybe your competitors are pants-ing you in Google rankings.

Maybe you simply don’t have the time to dedicate to keeping up to date, implementing the latest, and best practices in SEO.

I couldn’t blame you, I do this full-time and it feels like half the gig is keeping ahead of the curve with the latest developments in search algorithms and Google products.

The truth is when it comes to search engine optimisation, most small to medium businesses cannot justify hiring a full-time employee to look after SEO and online marketing.

And agency rates are prohibitive, considering a typical agency charges in the range of $150+ per hour and lock you into a long-term contract, with no performance guarantee.

But, what if there was a happy medium?

What if you could benefit from over a decade of agency experience, at around half the cost of an agency?

I’m here to tell you, you can have your cake and eat it too!

And who doesn’t like cake?

Those poor souls that have gluten sensitivities I imagine.

I’ve been working in SEO and digital marketing since 2004. I’ve spent most of that time working for (and heading up the search divisions) the biggest and best digital agencies in Perth.

In 2013 I decided that it was time to quit the agency game and go freelance.

Why?

I felt like the agency environment was too restrictive.

How so?

I’m glad you asked, let me elaborate:

Agencies sell SEO packages
In my experience every business and website is unique. They all have different weakness and needs in terms of implementing an effective SEO strategy.

For each and every client I work with I start with a comprehensive SEO audit. This forms the foundation of a fully customised SEO strategy. It’s a custom solution, and therefore will not be priced as your choice between a silver, gold or platinum SEO plan.

Agencies over-book
Agency account managers often have too many account to effectively service each of them. This comes down to the agency wanting to make as much cash as possible. How do they accomplish that? They get as many clients as possible, and employee as few account managers as possible.

Agencies are slow to react
In search engine optimisation you really need to be at the cutting edge. You need to be proactive to get first mover’s advantage. If you have to wait three months to get a new strategy in place, you’re probably three months behind that competitor that always seems to be in position #1.

I’m not saying agencies are inherently evil. I’m just saying you will get better service at a better price with a freelancer, like myself 🙂

Oh, and I should mention, I still do some freelance work for a number of Perth agencies. So, if you want to pay big bucks to have me work on your site, you could still go through an agency.

I’d recommend going direct, of course.

If you’re looking to hire an SEO, need to outsource, or are considering agency proposals, maybe we should have a chat.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
